Alias Julius has long reflected the musical passions that inspired her while she was growing up in Detroit, Michigan. Alias has continues to explore her passions and define her distinctive voice throughout her time as a performer. With influences that range from Bob Dylan to Janis Joplin, AJ demonstrates a refreshingly different style to crowds everywhere.
Alias has performed at a variety of venues, from pubs to concert halls, to international festivals. Alias began touring Europe in 2003. She now has a growing fan base from her shows in Czech Republic, Scotland, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Denmark and her home in the US. Her vocal ability combined with her vibrant guitar skills makes for a very unique and extraordinary female acoustic performer.
In 2000, she recorded and released her first CD entitled "Boondox", which features fourteen folk/rock originals. She released "Lonely Season" in 2007 which displays substantial growth as a songwriter and as a performer. Alias also has a wide variety of cover songs in her repertoire including artists such as; Tom Petty, Bonnie Raitt, KT Tunstall and Oasis.
One thing that people always say about Alias Julius is that her stage performance "blows them away". Alias possesses the kind of organic talent this is driven by an innate need to connect with her fans. See one show and you will understand
